Wade A. Helvey

Wade A. Helvey, 61, of Merrill, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a brief illness.

Wade was born June 25, 1964, in Park Falls, WI, to Harold Helvey and Wanda (Dietrich) Helvey. Wade graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1983 and worked for 39 years at Lincoln Windows in Merrill. Wade enjoyed watching football especially the Packers and Badgers. He loved fishing up north at his favorite lakes. He enjoyed music especially hard rock with his favorite bands being AC/DC and Metallica. Wade was very outgoing and loved having a good time.

Survivors include his daughter, Marissa Helvey (Justin Pintor) of Wausau; son, Cody Heckendorf of Merrill; sisters, Lesley (David) Borkowski of Fond du Lac and Robin Helvey (Erik Krahn) of Merrill; brothers, Randy (Barb) Helvey of Hewitt, Kevin (Tammy) Helvey of Wausau, and Todd Helvey of Merrill; step sister, Patricia (Jeff) Karasek; and step brothers, Michael Eggebrecht, Roman (Julie) Eggebrecht, and Rick (Becky) Eggebrecht. Wade was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Helvey; and his father and step mother, Harold and Shirley Helvey.

The funeral service for Wade will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral & Cremation – 301 Eagle Dr., Merrill. Rev. Greg Laska will officiate. The visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Monday, August 18, 2025 and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday all at the funeral home.
