Tisha Ament-Hintz, age 43, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at her home. She was born in Merrill on March 20, 1982, and was the beloved daughter of Randy and Susan (Harmon) Ament. Her father has preceded her in death. Tisha attended and graduated from Merrill High School and went on to further her education by taking some college courses.
In February of 2006, Tisha welcomed her beautiful son, True, “her true love” into her life, the light of her life. She deeply loved and cherished being his mother, and as a single mother, that meant everything, and she did it with a smile, enjoying every second.
Tisha met the love of her life Carl Hintz, and they were married on December 12, 2024, in Merrill. The two shared a deep and meaningful bond, an eternal love that comes along only once in a lifetime. On their honeymoon in the Caribbean, Tisha also fulfilled her dream of the Beach Boys song, “Antigua, Barbuda”, she loved the white sand beaches and the crystal-clear blue waters, and of course the VIP service on the cruise ship. They later celebrated with an intimate and beautiful ceremony surrounded by close friends and family at Tisha’s favorite place, “The Cottage”, and of course the big rock. Carl survives.
Tisha previously had worked in the office at the Ford Company in Arizona, where she was endearingly known as the “Roller Girl”. She also had various cleaning and housekeeping jobs in the Merrill area. Tisha was a history buff and skilled in all types of arts and crafts, loved museums, and was incredibly creative and known for her talents in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook, and fed everyone, she was a foodie!!
Tisha loved camping and especially the wonderful shore lines of Madeline Island, festivals like Jack Pine, kayaking and events like the Paddle Pub crawl, and hiking. She loved harvesting wild edibles like berries and mushrooms, morels, chicken of the sea, raspberries, blackberries, mint, and the list goes on and on.
Tisha was a thoughtful hostess, and someone who truly loved to gather people together. Her laughter was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and spending quality time with those she loved meant everything to her. Tisha’s warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was the definition of a social butterfly! Tisha could talk to just about anyone and made those around her smile. She enjoyed get-togethers, parties and spending time with her friends. Tisha will be sadly missed, but her laughter and smile will live on through her family and friends. “One More!!”
Tisha is survived by her mother: Susan Harmon, husband: Carl Hintz, son: True Fairfield, nephews: Reece and Trayton. She is further survived by her fur babies: Quincy and Molly, along with many good friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Randy Ament and her beloved fur baby: Missy.
Tisha will be interred at Northwoods National Cemetery located at 4520 Lakewood Road, Harshaw, WI 54529.
A celebration of life for Tisha will be held at a later date.
