Sally J. Saal

Sally J. Saal, 87, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Mountview Care Center in Wausau.

Sally was born June 7, 1935, in Merrill, daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Fleischfresser) Semling. Sally was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards and games, camping, bowling, cooking, and reading. She especially enjoyed having sleepovers with her grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo (David) Beyer of Merrill; sons, Michael (Tammy) Saal, David (Sheila) Saal, and Steve Saal all of Merrill; grandchildren, Kate (David) Drewek, Jillian (Chip) Gilliard, Jeffrey Saal, Jennifer (David) Disterhaft, and Elizabeth (Joe) Breaman; great-grandchildren, Lane, Maren, and Eva; step-grandchildren, Nichole (Leroy) Miller and Ryan (Valerie) Sabatke; and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Sally was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Julie Jo; sister, Coreen (Robert) Grefe; brother, Joe (Sherry) Semling; and infant brother, David Semling.

The family would like to thank North Central Health Care Facility for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided Sally for the last 25 years.
