Orlin Roy Eggebrecht, 89, of Merrill, Wisconsin, expired peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born to the late Joseph and Valerie (Merwin) Eggebrecht, May 24,1936, in Marathon, Wisconsin. Orlin grew up in the Wausau area, a headstrong boy who detested school. He had his first job when he was eight years old washing mirrors and rolling smokes for a bar that he lived above, he was paid in cigarettes. His childhood joy came from spending time with his cousins Dale, Larry and Shot zee and visiting his sister Rosalie in Colorado.

Orlin married Eileen Richard (Holz) twice in 1974 a union lasting 50+ years. She proceeded him in death, May 5, 2025. Both entered the marriage with four children and together they would have three more. A straight shooter with a notable mustache in his prime he fished, boated, duck hunted, played cribbage, shot trap and was an avid gun collector. A fabricator at heart, known to jerry rig things. Orlin opened his own shop, Valley Fabrication and Repair, in Merrill this is where he claimed he could fix anything but a broken heart, also where he would teach some of his wayward children valuable lessons, employing them when needed. Orlin made the most out of his retirement. Stepping in to help out with his grand and great grandchildren whenever he could, usually with Dum Dums and cookies. Hanging with his buddies, riding his Harley or his pride, the Honda750 Chopper. He would spend the last years of his life with his loving wife, spoiling his dogs, and watching his large family grow.

A brazen man with a robust sense of humor who is and will be missed by those who truly knew him. Orlin is survived by all 11 of his children: Michael (Becky Spanjers) Eggebrecht of Genoa, Patricia (Jeff) Karasek of Wautoma, Roman (Julie) Eggebrecht of Ringle, Rick (Becky) Eggebrecht of Brookings, South Dakota, Krystal (Jim) Kelly of Merrill, Ricci Petersen of Wausau, Rex (Shelley) Richard of Merrill, Rod (Amanda) Richard of Merrill, Alliesion (Paul Russell) Barden of Merrill, Adonnica aka Scooter (Ike) Laabs of Merrill, and Roy (Sarah Boeren) Eggebrecht of Merrill; Grand and great grandchildren: Renee, Justin, Ethan, Rachel, Nathan, Julia, Aaron, Gabe, Grace, Shantelle, Shaynah, Shannon, Shayla, Bobby, Joe Lukas, Amber, Kaylie, Jaclyn, Tyler, Brittany, Ava, Eve, Ian, Xandra, Alexan, Lexee, Asa, Lance, Austin, Kyah, Zach, Bryce, Brady, Aiden, Bellamy, Elaina, Dylan, Hailey, Zoey, Gracie, Lillian, Braxton, Deaija, Miah, Opollo, Owen, Beau, Oaklee, Lennon and Adeline; and his beloved companion Velcro.
