Noreen V. ‘Penny’ Beyea, 98, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, May 25. 2025, at Bell Tower Residence.
Penny was born June 6, 1926, in Cleveland, daughter of William and Violet (Ostrander) Cawley. She married Lewis Lambrecht. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1992. She then married Leslie Beyea and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2009.
Penny held various jobs. She worked as a CNA at a hospital and a cashier in a grocery store. While living in Merrill, she worked in the bakery at the former Red Owl. She was a great baker and could decorate cakes and cookies with perfection. Penny enjoyed playing cards with friends, especially Sheepshead, flower gardening, working with clay figurines.
Survivors include her children, Linda (John) Emerich, Ann Schneider, Edward (Vicki) Lambrecht and Mark (Julie) Lambrecht all of Merrill;14 grandchildren, Paul (Isabel) Emerich, Michael (Becky) Schneider, Andy Schneider, Greg (Becky) Schneider, Cindy (Scott) Hopp, Carrie Fowler, Kristie (Bill) Anderson, Justin Woller (Cindy), Brandon Schult (Amanda), Matthew (Bethany) Lambrecht, Nick Lambrecht (Melissa), Eric Ott, and Ryan (Katie) Ott; 18 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and many friends. Penny was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis and Leslie; grandson, Jeremiah Schult; son-in-law, Michael ‘Soupy’ Schneider; sister, Pat (Richard) Bernhardt; brother, Bill (Helen) Cawley; and several in-laws.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
