Michelle Mary Plautz

Michelle Mary Plautz, passed away on August 4, 2026, in Weston, Wisconsin, at the age of 60. She was born on March 15, 1966, to James and Mary Plautz in Merrill, Wisconsin.

Michelle graduated from Merrill High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree, eventually building a distinguished career as a registered nurse. For over 20 years, she dedicated herself to caring for others, providing compassionate support in various hospitals and home care settings, including her long tenure at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Michelle was a lover of flowers. She also cherished moments spent baking and savoring coffee while listening to her favorite radio station, 89Q FM. A lover of fashion, she took pride in presenting herself well, with perfectly manicured nails and beautiful jewelry. Michelle shared her home with her beloved cats, Jingle Bells and Smokey, who brought her much comfort and companionship.

Michelle is survived by her children, Christopher (Marling) Schultz and Jonathan (Kristina) Schultz; her grandchildren, John Henry, Carling, Christopher, Ava, Lily, Isla, Paisley, and Reese; her brother, Brad (Rose) Plautz; as well as her aunts, Debbie and Cheryl, and countless close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Plautz.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill, August 20, 2026, at 10:00 am. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Michelle's name be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.
