Mary Jane Jeanette Weege, of Merrill, WI, entered her heavenly home at the age of 102, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Milestone Senior Living in Tomahawk, WI, while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Compassus Hospice. She was born on October 10, 1923, in Merrill, WI, to the late William H. and Alice (Frechette) Rahlf. Mary Jane attended and graduated from Merrill High School. She met the love of her life, her soul mate, Norbert Walter Weege, and the two were united in marriage on June 29, 1946, in Merrill, WI. Sadly, he preceded her in death on August 21, 2003.
Mary Jane worked as a clerk at Woolworth and Montgomery Ward. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping, traveling and going out to eat with friends and family. Mary Jane was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. She was a social butterfly and looked forward to playing cards with her card club at the senior center and Ruth Circle at church. Mary Jane enjoyed listening to music and played the piano and organ. Her smile and laugh could light up a room! She was very outgoing, sweet, thoughtful, proper and classy, with a witty and fun sense of humor. Her kids remember her as the perfect mother, that made the best meals. Mary Jane was a member of the Red Hat Society and Christ United Methodist Church. She was a woman of strong faith and would worship and pray every chance she had. Mary Jane will be sadly missed, but remember, she “loved you, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck”.
