Lisa M. Hehling

Lisa M. Hehling, 57, of Wausau, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Lisa was born July 4, 1967, in Merrill, daughter of James and Ruth (McDonald) Heisler. She worked for many years as an attendant at the Clark Gas Stations in Merrill and Wausau. Lisa enjoyed watching and playing softball, and camping and other outdoor activities. She loved watching her shows and games shows, playing on the computer, listening to music, and singing karaoke.

Lisa was always giving to everyone even when she didn’t have much. She loved socializing; everyone called her ‘Ma’ or ‘Nana’. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and baking, and providing for her family. She loved her animals especially Miley, Buster, Ginger, and Poppy.

Survivors include her children, Mathew Heisler of Wausau, Mindy (Brad) Litzen of Rhinelander, and Katie (Derek) Palesh of Wausau; grandchildren, Marshall Barlowski, Emily Luedtke, Alexis Litzen, Buddy Litzen, Zacharie Litzen, Jesse Litzen, and Zander Palesh; siblings, James ‘Skip’ (Sheri) Heisler of Merrill; Lynn (Daniel) Jensen of Merrill, and John (Rhonda) Heisler of Montgomery, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Her loved reached much further beyond her immediate family. She was mom, grandma, and sister to many other people.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Heisler; and her former spouse, Bill Hehling.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Kitchenette Park - 211 East First St., Merrill, WI.
