Kathleen Mary Hale-Mundt, passed away on July 4, 2026. Born on October 5, 1938, in Racine, Wisconsin, Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who touched the lives of everyone around her.
Kathleen, affectionately known for her love of flowers and spending time outdoors, found joy in watching the birds in her yard and creating a warm home atmosphere. She cherished gatherings with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild, Oliver Hale. Kathleen had a knack for keeping her home tidy and was often busy cleaning something, but she always made time for the things she loved.
After many years working with Merrill Candy, Kathleen spent a significant part of her career as a receptionist at Marshfield Clinic in Merrill, where she greeted everyone with a smile. She was a proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tomahawk and was a woman of deep faith.
On September 26, 2002, Kathleen married her beloved husband, Gerald Mundt, who survives her, along with her son Christopher (Ellen) Hale; grandchildren: Michael Hale, Bradley (Tom Thornton) Hale, Brittany (Joe Norton) Hale, and Katherina (Tim Oleson) Hale. Kathleen is also survived by her sisters, Yvonne Nichols and Jane (Tom) Wilson, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her previous husband, Brad Lee Hale; her son, William Hale; her sister, Barbara Klebenow; and brothers-in-law, Charles Nichols and Gerald Klebenow.
