Judith M. 'Jutee' Lohff

Judith M. ‘Jutee’ Lohff, 79, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Ascension St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston. Jutee was born August 25, 1940, in Merrill, daughter of the late Wilbert and Dorothy Raasch. She married James Lohff on December 26, 1990 in Merrill. He survives. Jutee worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company in Merrill for several years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Merrill, where she was involved with the church choir and the women’s group. Jutee also served as a Deacon at church. Jutee enjoyed writing poetry, crafting, cooking and she was a ‘Red Hatter’. Survivors include her husband, James ‘Jim’ Lohff of Merrill; son, Jay Van Slate of Rice Lake; step daughters, Christina Lohff of Merrill and Alexa Lohff of Stanley; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Weckwerth of Merrill. Jutee was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jamie Van Slate and Jesse ‘Kal’ Van Slate; and brother-in-law, David Weckwerth. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
