Joyce E. Livingston

Joyce E. Livingston passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Monday, May 26, 2025, while residing at Rennes Health and Rehab in Weston.

Joyce was born January 5, 1931, in Appleton, Wisconsin to Arthur and Edna (Hrabik) Boelter. She married Clifford D. Livingston on January 5, 1955. Joyce is survived by a son, Richard Livingston (Catherine) of Baraboo, Wisconsin; and two daughters, Kathleen Livingston of Merrill, Wisconsin and Louise Livingston of Wausau, Wisconsin. Joyce is also survived by four grandchildren, David Livingston (Deanna), Sarah Livingston-Garcia (Louis), Matthew Livingston (Elizabeth), and Catherine Cutrell-Livingston (Brendan); five great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Livingston; parents, Arthur and Edna Boelter; and son, Michael Livingston.

Joyce was a member of Laureate Chapter Beta Sigma Phi, a Girl Scout (Brownie) troop leader and a Boy Scout (Cub Scout) troop leader. She also served on the board of directors of Elder Care. She served as Vice President of Livingston’s Department Store, Inc. Joyce was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Merrill. She and her husband traveled extensively. Joyce was a gourmet cook. The most important thing in her life was her loving with relationship with her husband and her family. Joyce and Cliff were youth leaders at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Wausau.

The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral & Cremation – 301 Eagle Dr., Merrill. Father Maria will preside. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Joyce’s name to the Merrill Historical Society or the Lincoln County Humane Society.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice for the care they provided Joyce the last two months. They would also like to thank Renaissance Assisted Living and Rennes Health & Rehab for the love and care they provided Joyce the past year.
