Gayle Kathryn Doering

May 26, 1949 — Aug 25, 2026

Gayle Kathryn Doering, age 77, died on August 25, 2026, in Weston, Wisconsin. Born on May 26, 1949, in Merrill, she was the eldest daughter of Chester and Leona (Mosser) Doering. Gayle was raised in Gleason, Wisconsin, alongside her eight brothers and two sisters, and graduated from Merrill High School in 1967.

Gayle spent much of her life living and working in Wisconsin's Fox Cities, where she raised her family. During her career, she served as a deli manager at Kohl's Food Store and as a secretary at Faith United Methodist Church along with several other roles with various companies.

An avid sports fan, Gayle faithfully cheered for her favorite Wisconsin teams: the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. She also loved the outdoors, especially trips up north with her sons and grandsons.

Above all, Gayle was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her interests followed those of her family, and whatever activities her sons or grandsons pursued, she was there to cheer them on. She found immense joy in her loved ones and was known for her unwavering dedication, nurturing spirit, warmth, wisdom, and ability to make others feel valued and loved. She was always ready with a listening ear.

Gayle found amazement in the small things, never losing her sense of child-like wonder. She cherished time with the younger generations of her family, connecting with them all, sharing stories and laughter. She especially enjoyed playdates with her great-nieces, filled with Barbies, dress-up, and skating shows. Gayle was deeply loved, will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her loved ones.

Gayle is survived by her siblings: (Mona), Francis (Sandra), Kermit (Joyce), Norman (Mary), Calvin, Philip (Sherry), Suzette (Jeff), Melvin (Lynn), and Vicky; her sons, Scott (Keri) Kleinschmidt and Todd Kleinschmidt; her grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Jonah, and Canyon; her aunts, Sharon (Butch) Madden and Patty Mosser; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ronald and Gregory.
