Eric Charles Seidel, of Parish, passed away on August 22, 2026. Eric was born on July 23, 1990 to Tom and Nancy Seidel.
Eric grew up in Merrill and later moved to Parish.
Eric graduated from Merrill High School. He always had a good work ethic, working at Piggly Wiggly then Quality Wood while in High School. After High School, he worked at Mitchell Metal and then LP in Tomahawk where he was a Heavy Machine Operator.
Eric was an Eagle Scout, and carried those skills through life. Eric loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and trapper. He liked spending time at the family cabin Camp46. Eric enjoyed his Bush Light and old country music, especially the sad songs. Everyone knew him for his smile, smirky grin and his quick wit and sense of humor.
Eric is survived by his parents Tom & Nancy Seidel; sister Kimberly Seidel; grandma Marilyn Rathke; aunts and uncles Sharie Fritcher, Don Fritcher, Sue (Mike) Gleason, Barbara (Kelly) Davenport, Margaret Charlies, John (Michele) Rathke; many cousins; and extended family and friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Charlie & Dorthy Seidel and Grandpa Elroy Rathke.
The family asks to celebrate Eric’s life, that for the visitation and funeral, everyone wears “Eric’s clothes”, a hat and camo or hunting shirts and jeans.
If you knew Eric, he never liked flowers. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the Town of Russell Fire Department, Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association.
Visitation will be held at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral & Cremation, 301 Eagle Dr., on September 3, 2026 from 4pm-7pm. Service will be at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral & Cremation on September 4, 2026 at 11:00 am, family will welcome guests starting at 10:00am.
